Window Specifications

All window specifications for die cutting size and postion are referenced with the seal flap at the top.
Never print the window or envelope die line on press sheets to be converted into envelopes.

How to specify the window size
.
Position the seal flap at the top.

1.) Height - Measure window die cut out from the bottom to the top.
2.) Width - Measure window die cut out from left to right.

How to specify the window position.
Position the seal flap at the top.
1.) Measure window position from left score (fold) to left edge of the window.
2.) Measure window position from bottom score (fold) to the bottom of the window.


How to specify multiple window positions.
Multiple windows on same side of the piece state the size and position of the top window first and the bottom window second.

How to specify multiple window position on both sides of the peice.
Multiple windows on different sides state the size and postion of the front window first and the back (on the seal flap side) second, always indicate the window is on back.
Use this template to set up artwork for No.10 Standard Window envelopes.

This is not a press layout. Press Layouts always specify sheet size and position.
Keep all critical printing at least 1/8" away from window die cut position indicated.

Horizontal windows have the longest dimension parallell to the top score.

Vertical windows have the shorter dimension parallell to the top score.
